What We Are About
Our Mission
Bringing together people interested in astronomy, helping them develop their astronomical skills and knowledge, and encouraging education about and public interest in astronomy.
Founded 1974
The Prescott Astronomy Club has been serving Central Arizona for over 50 years. We are an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

What We Do
Our Activities
PAC offers a variety of indoor and outdoor activities to educate, entertain, and advocate around the subject of astronomy.
🌒 Club Meetings
Monthly Club Meetings happen every 1st Wednesday at 6:00 PM at the Prescott Public Library, Founders Suite A&B, 215 E. Goodwin Street.
Featured speakers include professional astronomers, scientists, and researchers presenting on astronomy and related science topics. Club meetings are open to the public — everyone is welcome!
⭐ Starry Nights Star Parties
Starry Nights sky-viewing events occur during spring and fall seasons, weather permitting. Members bring telescopes and binoculars to share — or bring your own.
Locations include Williamson Valley Trailhead and other local parks and venues. Events are open to the public and free to attend.
🏫 School & Community Outreach
Club members visit local schools, scout troops, and community groups to share the wonder of astronomy. We bring telescopes and hands-on activities to make astronomy accessible to all ages.
📷 Astrophotography (APSIG)
The Astrophotography Special Interest Group meets regularly for members to share images, learn techniques, and explore the art of capturing the night sky.
